WELCOME TO HETAKU SAFARI LODGE LTD.
Hetaku Safari Lodge is personally run by its German/Spanish owners as a hunting enterprise.
The owners are internationally experienced hunters.
Some of them are registered Master Hunting Guides; they have up to 40 years hunting experience in Africa.
We speak German, English, Spanish and French.
Our enterprises have first class, trained employees, all-terrain vehicles, excellent hunting hounds (Deutschdrahthaar and Retrievers) and well-trained horses.
Our safaris are individually designed according to our guest’s wishes. We guarantee the maximum reliability and expert hunting.
The satisfaction of our guests is our highest priority.
HETAKU HUNTING RANGE
(max. 4 hunters, with accompanying persons up to a total of 10.)
Hetaku lies in the Gobabis District, 2 hours east of Windhoek Airport by car. The Farm is part the Black Nossob Conservancy (approx.. 180.000 ha) – one of the largest and richest in game areas in Namibia. Its border on one side runs for 18 km along the Black Nossob River. The hunting area is about 8000 ha.
The biotope varies between vast grass- and bushlands and Acacia Forests. There are a large number of waterholes and small dams. Additionally, the range is served by numerous hunting facilities such as blinds/hides and raised hides. The main and favorite hunting methods are stalking and raised hide. There is also the possibility of hunting on horseback.
The Game that can be hunted are:
Kudu, Oryx, Hartebeest, Warthog, Blue-Wildebeest, Black-Wildebeest, Plains Zebra, Steenbuck, Duiker, Giraffe, Ostrich, Cheetah, Lynx, Jackal Brown Hyena and, depending on the season: Pigeon, Guinea fowl, Quail, Francolin and numerous Sandgrouse. For the small game hunting we have very good German Wirehaired Pointers and Retrievers.
You stay either in our roomy guest bungalows that all have their own bathroom, or in one of the guest rooms in the main house.
Our excellent cuisine is international. We are happy to fulfill your special wishes if you notify us beforehand.
There is no problem importing your own firearms. For a charge we also have rented firearms.
