Glen Rock Private Reserve is 4 000 acres of hunters paradise! Elandspruit which originates from Aasvoëlberg nearby Zastron, runs through the beautiful mountain terrain, ravine’s and sandstone rock formations, then flows into the Orange River which is the southern border for this haven where 13 species resides, some of which you’ve probably never seen up-close.
The topography of this property is the ideal mix between high density bush veld and open savanna, which still allows for the preferable choice of walk and stalk hunting.
HUNTING ALL YEAR ROUND

​The Department of Economic Affairs, Environment and Tourism (DEEAT) has exempted the ranch which means that hunting can be conducted year round.

Accommodation on the farm

A typical vintage homestead provides accommodation in five bedrooms for up to 15 guests.

HIGHLANDS GUEST HOUSE

> The Highlands Guest House, originally built in 1914, is situated in Zastron, in the Eastern Free State, South Africa at the foot of the Aasvoëlberg. We offer great accommodation and currently have 7 rooms available. Self-catering units also available.

 

Other facilities include
Slaughtering and cold room facilities
Caping and prepping of trophy animals at R200.00 per cape
Shooting range for sighting in of rifles. It is expected of hunters to ensure that rifles are properly sighted in before the hunt.
​Fishing and 4X4 Drives. A couple of large dams provide excellent carp fishing and great barber fishing is guaranteed in Elandspruit, cronkeling for 5km through the farm.
For “non-hunting” getaways the property also facilitates 4X4 drives with your own vehicle and guided visits to Bushman Painting sites.
